When does the workshop start?
We have several workshops. Refer to the poster for the specific event you want to attend. The time, date, and day will be given on the poster.
What will I learn in this session?
- You will have a practical session where all concepts will be demonstrated, and you will participate as a teacher.
- Music teachers will be provided with an overview of what to teach, when to teach, and how to teach.
- We will explore multiple pathways to active music-making.
- Through creative play, songs, chants, movement, and stories, we will develop musical knowledge from simple to complex, and through singing, playing, listening, moving, creating, and composing.
- Cross-curricular connections with mathematics, reading, coding, social studies, and more will be addressed, along with connections to visual and other performing arts areas.
- Introduction to movement.
- You will discover practical ideas for teaching with play.
Will I learn all concepts in one workshop?
Different workshops cover different topics. Although, it will have the same approach. We obviously cannot cover everything in one go. Each presenter has a unique approach. So, why don’t you learn from them all? It’s very affordable. Sign up for all of them!
Are these sessions Live or pre-recorded?
These are interactive LIVE sessions taught by our facilitators for 60 to 120 mins. You will learn play-based, child-centric music pedagogy to teach an engaging class, and you will receive any recordings (If our facilitators have no obligations)
Is this workshop only for music teachers? Can other teachers attend?
Whether you are an early-year homeroom teacher, music teacher, dance or theater teacher, special educator, or any teacher from Grades K to 5 interested in integrating music into your work for children, these sessions will work well for you.
I am not a music teacher. How will this workshop help me?
The sessions introduce you to a play-based approach to teaching and learning. You will discover different aspects that may suit your work as a teacher, such as:
- Circle time: Transform your circle time into a beautifully creative and inclusive activity.
- Integration: Cross-curricular connections with mathematics, reading, coding, social studies, and more will be addressed, along with connections to visual and performing arts areas, elocution, or any learning objective you might have as a teacher.
But I don’t have a background in music. Will I feel out of place in this workshop?
You will be perfectly fine and fit right in. Our approaches are profound in ideology yet simple in application.
Will there be a certificate of completion?
Yes! You will receive a certificate upon completion.
Will I be able to apply everything in my class after this workshop?
You sure can and will see a significant response from your students. However, it depends on a few factors. The delivery and being cognizant of what you are teaching and to whom. There are different milestones for each age level. We suggest you ask us your questions, and we will do our best to guide you.
Do you have a longer teacher training program?
Yes, we do. We understand that teachers need quality teacher education, and this is your platform for all professional development.
We have compact courses ranging from two-day workshops, 5-day A-level courses, and a 2-week program. Our Tāla certification program will be launched soon.
These intensive practical sessions will allow you to participate as a student and learn how to teach through play-based and child-centric approaches and activities that work in the real world.
When can I receive the 10% bonus for the next session?
You will have the chance to avail it during live sessions.

I am not sure if I can make it. Will you be sharing recordings?
Yes! You’ll receive recordings. (The recording are subject to whether our facilitators are comfortable in allowing for them to be recorded)

Can I record the session for personal use later?
The video content is owned by Tala Education and is also the personal practice and intellectual property of each facilitator. You are not allowed to record and use it for personal use. Doing so will lead to legal repercussions.
But here’s what you should do:
Our best teachers usually participate and experience the session. We will send you the notes, recordings (lesson plans), and you will have access to them for 2 weeks.
Can I ask my questions to the facilitators in the session?
There will be a dedicated session only for Q&A with the facilitators and the host.
If I miss this, can I join the next one?
Yes, of course, you can! But you’ll have to register and pay for it again when it is scheduled to happen next. That’s exactly why we mention the date and time of the sessions clearly on the landing page and also send multiple reminders on WhatsApp and email so that you don’t miss out on joining the session.
